Why does Petra's name have two different spellings: Jared and Yared?

Petra's real family name is Yared. When she starred in Sky Trackers, the producers advised her to change the spelling to Jared because her family was still in the phone book under their real name. A few years later, she decided to change it back to its original spelling to avoid confusion.

This website was built with Visicom Media's AceHTML Pro (which also exists in free version) and it was uploaded with AceFTP Pro (which also exists in free version). The banner was made using Photoshop.

The font on the banner is Helvetica Ultra Light (a commercial font) and the main font is Georgia.

I would like to build a website, but I am a complete beginner. Do you have any tips for me?

The first version of this site was built using a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) programme. Some of these programmes are pretty sophisticated and allow you to do lots of things (e.g. Dreamweaver), so such software will do for most people. However, if you want more control and precision, I would advise you to learn HTML and CSS. I learned both programming languages from scratch using online tutorials - they are not very difficult but require some practice. A good place to start is Bravenet.

I had problems downloading the sound files and/or video clips, but I really want to listen to and/or see them. Could you send them to me by email?

Yes, I have! I met Petra in Sydney in February 2008. She is absolutely lovely!

Do you know where I can find DVDs and video tapes of Petra's movies?

- Several shows in which Petra has starred or guest starred have been released on DVD, i.e. Sky Trackers, Good Guys, Bad Guys, The Real Macaw, Halifax f.p.: A Murder of Crows, Muggers, Blurred, MDA (season 3, episodes 1-4 only), Blue Heelers and The Secret Life of Us. Most of these are available in region 4 format (Australia) from Australian online stores such as EzyDVD. The Real Macaw is also available in region 1 format (USA), for example from Amazon.

- Journey to the Center of the Earth and BeastMaster have also been released on DVD, but in region 1 format (USA). They can be bought from Amazon.

- If you want anything else you should try contacting the production companies individually. But if you are after Mirror Mirror DVDs, I know for a fact that they are not available.
