Interview with Parx-e Web Zine

How did you get into acting?

I got into acting through doing drama workshops for fun when i was 9 years old at The National Theatre in St. Kilda. I was asked to audition for a short film and got the part.

What has been your favourite role you have played to date?

I've loved playing so many of the roles I've done. Alicia, the psychopath murderer on "Halifax F.P." was a great role. I also had a ball on "Blurred" playing the drunk schoolies week slurry, Yolanda.

Who is your favourite actor/actress?

Not sure who my number one would be but I love Cate Blanchett, Francis McDormand and Toni Collete to name a few.

Where do you think you will be in 10 years?

Not sure but I would like it to be with my first two children and partner wherever it is. I'd like to be in a position to be travelling to act when I want to and at home when I don't!

Who would you most like to work with?

A toss up between the actresses listed above and a few of my top ten "spunks"...Hugh Grant, Johnny Depp, Ben Stiller...

What are your favourite bands or artists?

I have no idea musically. I'm one of those people who likes a song but wouldn't have a clue who sings it!

What do you think of australian idol and popstars live?

I've never seen Popstars but must admit I did get a bit into Australian Idol last time, particularly towards the end.

What would we find on Petra stereo at moment?

As I said, my musical knowledge is remarkably lame! In my cd player you'd most likely find some cheesy compilation of eighties music carefully put together by my sister who is reknowned for her bad taste in music!

Will we see another series of MDA?

I don't think so although we've never officially been given the word. It's a shame. The people who watched it seem to have really loved it and it catered to an audience who otherwise don't watch tv.

Who do you enjoy working with the most?

I love working in this industry because i get to work with so many wonderful, creative, eccentric, funny people. I truly can't give you a favourite although the cast of MDA was pretty special.

What will see you in next?

I don't know! I've just shot a couple of episodes of "Secret Life of Us" but don't know when they'll go to air so it might be something before then. I'll let you know!

What are your favourite movies?

I can never think of any when I'm asked this question! I think "Fargo" was a pretty amazing film. Recently I thought "Love, actually" and "Kill Bill" were great but i'm not sure if they'll stay with me as "favourites"...we'll see.
